Andrew never does favors solely out of kindness, and Neal doesn't know how to trust anyone but himself. And they have a little time to find a common language before the destructive external circumstances change their lives: Rico intends to destroy the Nile, which means that Foxes can become consumables. The time of the Nile is numbered, but he begins to understand what it means to fight for what is dear to him. Neal also believes in Andrew, even if Andrew doesn't believe in himself.
