The tunes are arranged in common time signatures, common key signatures (mostly F and G major), and accessible ranges with easy rhythms (mostly quarter and half notes). This is a valuable collection of familiar melodies, appropriate for varied performances in school, church, civic, and more by performers of all ages and abilities. The duets could also be performed by or with other C instruments in treble clef, such as flute, oboe, and violin.The volume includes: Abide with Me; Break Thou the Bread of Life; I Sought the Lord; Jesus Shall Reign; Jesus the Very Thought of Thee; Nearer My God to Thee; O Master, Let Me Walk with Thee; Spirit of God, Descend Upon My Heart; Sun of My Soul, and To God Be the Glory.
