Publisher's Synopsis
Sex between people of the same gender is as old as humanity itself, pleasure is something inherent in the condition of living beings who feel an impulse to seek to satisfy this biological need in an almost unconscious way.The discussion has always existed if this is good or bad, the contradictors argue that sex is an activity that should have as its ultimate goal the procreation for the conservation of the species and is said to be the trick that nature is worth so that So be it; homosexuality has always been condemned, it is treated as a disease and those who find in others of the same gender the satisfaction of sexual pleasure are marginalized from society.Since the dawn of humanity erotic practices among people of the same gender have been present, sometimes related to the worship of certain gods.Currently there is a growing acceptance of homosexuality, laws have established laws that protect the members of this community, but the discrimination to which they are subjected cannot be ignored, sometimes accusing them of being the cause of the transmission of serious diseases .Until recently, homosexuals were considered sick and were people who could be cured, but today we must understand that homosexuality is a natural choice or condition of the human being. The conditions of social acceptance of homosexuality vary from one country to another, in many of them marriage is allowed between them, in general, in a ceremony before the civil authority, but many churches also admit it.In recent times there has been debate about the possibility of allowing adoption by gay couples, there are many arguments on the table for or against such practice, being one of the strongest that says that adoptees have a good chance of becoming gay or being raped by a couple or their friends. If marriage is accepted and this is inherent in the family, adoptions must be admitted as a fundamental part of it.Globalization allows people new approaches to social realities and this makes homosexual discrimination seen as something that should not be practiced. We must recognize that all human beings have the right to choose how they want to live their intimate life and that others have an obligation to respect the free will of all. This work aims to show some facets of the life of a homosexual person, without trying to make an apology for this condition, but rather, creating awareness that we all have rights and obligations with respect to ourselves and society in general.
