Publisher's Synopsis
It Rhymes with Lust is a "picture novel" published in 1950. It is an early example of a graphic novel. It was written by Arnold Drake and Leslie Waller, with black-and-white art by Matt Baker and inker Ray Osrin. It was published by the comic book and magazine company St. John Publications. Drake would go to write for comics publishers DC and Marvel, for which he created such characters as Doom Patrol, Deadman and the original Guardians of the Galaxy. When most pulp fiction was westerns, It Rhymes with Lust is an adult story, influenced by film noir and pulp fiction, that depicts life in a steel town and stars a manipulative woman named Rust. In 2020, It Rhymes with Lust is remastered and colorized by Anthony Koontz as an artistic experiment, a way to preserve the past and honor the future. Have a good reading with my warmest regards.
