Publisher's Synopsis
(Snow and Hail is a short story with the instalove of fated mates. It's loosely based on the tale of Snow White and is part of a series. While it can be read as a standalone, it would be more enjoyable if you read the other books in the series before this one.)
Former assassin turned baker and pastry chef Vernon T. Judd aka Hail, is a crocodile shifter who loves making sweet confections for people to enjoy. Now that he's retired, he spends his days doing just that in his bakery while longing for the day he'll meet his mate. When an old employer contacts him about an unconventional job even though he's retired, Vernon decides to turn it down. However when the details of the job are revealed and Vernon learns one of the targets is a loyal customer he changes his mind about saying no. Snowden Alver is an ice dragon shifter who loves his job and practicing martial arts. Now that he's been made an equal partner in the company, his responsibilities have grown from what they were when he acted as Beau's assistant. Despite his increased workload, Snowden still makes time to enjoy his favorite sweets from the bakery run by a chef he's watched from afar since the bakery opened. A death in the family brings about another life change but unbeknownst to Snowden, it also places a target on his back. With a sinister enemy who'll stop at nothing to see Snowden dead, these two men will have to work together to keep them both alive. Will they succeed and find their way to a happily ever after or will their journey end in tragedy before it's really begun?
