Publisher's Synopsis
Micel and Diama discover something so bizarre that it seems impossible. People are committing crimes they couldn't possibly commit and when the village mayor begs for assistance, Micel persuades Diama to help. However, she soon regrets her decision when Diama beats her almost to death in a savage rage, thus fulfilling a disturbing prophetic dream Micel had experienced the previous night. But all is not as it seems. Despite the overwhelming evidence of her eyes and the presence of her bruises, Micel begins to doubt it was the real Diama who assaulted her. But if it wasn't Diama, then who could it possibly be? The answer to the riddle leads the pair to an underground cave where they uncover the author of all the impossible happenings. However, they find themselves then caught in a magical web, and end up fighting against their own greatest fears.
