Diama and Micel seem to have finished their adventures because Micel hasn't had anything new to add to her 'Chronicles of Transformation' for ages. But all of that suddenly changes with the unexpected arrival of Kelly and Amy - their counterparts from the Future. Even more disturbingly, they inform Micel that their study of the Chronicles indicates there is still one more adventure ahead, but the Chronicle story about it is somehow never completed. This causes Micel to wonder if she is fated to die before she can finish writing the story. And then another mystery unfolds. Micel awakes from a hideous nightmare which reveals that an unprecedented catastrophe may be about to engulf them all. If this wasn't bad enough, matters are further complicated by the discovery of a subversive element in their midst. With their plans in disarray, Micel begins to believe that perhaps the last story is unfinished because the evil she envisioned in her dream eventually triumphs over everything she loves. But at the very end, she has to make a pivotal decision which will affect the rest of her life and finally solve the mystery of the unfinished Chronicle story.
