The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is the story of a few months in the life of this boy who lives in a small town in the southwestern United States on the banks of the Mississippi. Raised by his aunt Polly who loves him from her heart but subjects him to a discipline that is absurd and unpleasant. Tom looks at the world in a very different way than the adults he has to live with.
