Publisher's Synopsis
Jesus' remarkable divine powers present an astounding vision. Jesus is God from eternity past and has everything to do with humanity through the present era into eternity future. We are His created sentient creatures. He formed us in His own image, bodies created from the dust of the earth. But He endowed us with an eternal spirit, intimately given us with His own breath.
Jesus saw His remarkable creation spiral out of control due to the introduction of chaos by the fallen angel Satan. A lesser god might have destroyed our universe and started over. Our Lord foresaw some of us would come to understand His strong desire for intelligent fellowship with sentient beings. He, most of all wants to call us friends.
His angelic servants in Heaven were aghast the Son of the Ancient of Days actually stepped into His own creation to set things right. Jesus reduced Himself to inhabit a tiny human baby, setting aside much of His divine power. Satan, of course, tried to kill Him as a baby and later tempted Jesus as an adult, hoping to turn Him away from His divine mission, but failed.
Jesus became the mysterious Messiah of His favorite nation, Israel, fulfilling countless predictions made by the prophets. He systematically presented a method of writing off the sin of the world, restoring humanity to a condition of divine holiness.
Most remarkably, Jesus came to love humanity enough to actually allow His human body to be sacrificed, taking the sin of the world upon Himself. His Father reluctantly allowed His Son to heroically suffer and die for His own creation. The Father raised Jesus from the dead to confirm to the world that Jesus was indeed His beloved Son. Jesus, having completed His task, ascended to Heaven and was seated next to His Father.
Jesus now awaits the completion of the Father's detailed plan, including the resurrection of His servants, who have become more than friends, now called His children.
We are adopted into the royal priesthood of God. We will no longer inhabit dying bodies of the dust of the earth with fallen spirits. Rather, we will abide in heavenly bodies forever. Our spirits made holy, no longer be prone to sin. Jesus will cover us with His love, seen as a garment of bright white light.
What fabulous promises we have become eligible for, all due to the habitation of His Holy Spirit within us, and our adoption as sons of God through our Lord Jesus.
