Publisher's Synopsis

The story takes you on a journey of an aging sheriff by the name of Clayburn Hawley. He is the sheriff in a small Arizona town called Denizen in the year 1883. As a sheriff, he had encountered every lowlife, gunslinger, cattle rustlers and outlaws, that he had ever faced in Arizona. Now, he is coping with a brain injury, as a result from an earlier fight in the town's only saloon. While coping with his memory loss, he also seeks to find the men responsible for robbing the Denizen bank. Later two of the bank robbers, along with another man, escape from the Yuma Territorial Prison. Along the way, he also gets involved in a case, where a Denizen rancher is thought to be murdered by his partner and their ranch is burned to the ground in an effort to cover up the crime and the killer's identity. The story has many twists and turns, as the sheriff tries to unravel all the loose ends.
