When you die in the game, you'll die in real life.Touka Kimizuki and her twin brother, Yuuto, may only be high-schooler who become secret agents for PSIA. But they're no different from the typical high-schooler since they like to play the free-to-play, VR multiplayer online action game called Fatal Bullet. They even agreed to participate in the game's first-ever tournament with their friend, Manabe, and Akie.
However, their excitement to participate in the game tournament was only short-lived when Manabe told them about the game's disturbing rumor. And that rumor was people who died in the game would also die in real life. Despite the rumor, they decided to continue playing the game anyway since they're so dead set on wanting to participate in the tournament. They don't believe that people will die in real life when they die in the game. What seems like a rumor turns out to be true when they find out that three people are already dead because of the game. Seeing that these people died just like the rumor described and believing that things will start to escalate from there, Touka and the rest of the Kimizuki squad conclude that there's only one person who can do something like this. And that person is none other than Satoru Yuuya, the person that PSIA has been hunting for a long time. Will they be able to stop Satoru Yuuya before the death toll increases to the point of no return?
