Alessia knew that the world wasn't supposed to be like this. She was 19; she was supposed to be playing on her phone and going to college.
Instead, she was learning to grow and gather her own food in The White Oak (The village her parents founded). There were no eligible men her own age. She was still living at home and didn't have a future.
The Tarvic had killed her father over a food skirmish. It was only a matter of time before they were all dead.
Everything changes when Alessia is given a locket. She embarks on a mission to restore the power grid. Dusty Holt, the bad boy that had only stayed at The White Oak a short time with Alessia's community, volunteers to help her on her mission.
