Publisher's Synopsis
YO-YO NIGHTIt's the summer of 1971. Living is easy for Vietnam veteran Moe and his friends Weeksie, Greasy John, Bill Mill, and The Swirling Mist. But something is stirring in the wind. Change is coming. At first there's a just a vague feeling that something isn't quite right in their small-town world, but that feeling quickly intensifies when a new store opens in town: a head shop run by a mysterious woman named Gwendolyn.
Moe and his friends are drawn to the shop like moths to a flame. Sensing the group's unease, Gwendolyn shows them her Junk Drawer of Destiny, a priceless collection of curious historical artifacts. She invites Moe to select something from it, something that might alter the course of his life. Instead, something selects him: an ancient yo-yo inscribed with the words, "Who wields me, wields the world." No mere toy, the yo-yo is said to control time and the destinies of men. Does the future of mankind hang from a string?
