Publisher's Synopsis
Within the medieval Bavarian city of Ravenberg, an evil grows; born from the dark secrets of ancient alchemy. Within the city walls, Michel Friedmann, a trained and trusted physician and leecher has been conscripted into the duty of examination, accounting, and quarantining of those afflicted by a new outbreak of the deadly plague. His troubles are compounded when he discovers an evil presence that has been using the cover of the sickness to prey upon its children. When his warnings are ignored he becomes convinced that the origins and source of the evil come from Ravenberg's own palace walls. Determined to help the citizens of Ravenberg Michel allies with dangerous purveyors of violence and the occult as he learns of the dark history of the Nosferatu.
