Publisher's Synopsis
The year is 1879 when the Llano Kid and Joe Remy meet up in a small mining town outside of El Paso. Trail worn and almost broke, the two take on work at the Villa Del Rio, a roadside inn on the outskirts of town where a string of mysterious deaths, declining occupancy, and haunting rumors of angry spirits, threaten to run the Rodriguez family out of business, and out of town.
But this little bit of heaven is all Consuelo and her beautiful daughter have left of the Spanish land grant that has supported the family for nearly a hundred years. A mysterious guest visiting from back east, a jealous vaquero, and a bull-headed wealthy rancher threaten to make trouble. Who better to sort out this mess and save the Inn from a takeover than the Llano Kid and Piano Joe?
