With no time to rest, the team jumps to the second world, Coratune. Terraformed centuries ago and seeded with humans and other Earth life forms, Coratune seems promising. But the humans here haven't progressed as planned-they've gone feral. Forced by a dysfunctional robot into a harrowing journey across a hostile landscape, Ember and her companions find a glimmer of hope... but can hope endure in the midst of appalling savagery?
