Publisher's Synopsis
Aunt Lana is a School Nurse. She maintains health care plans for her students and keeps records on immunization compliance. One part of her job is to perform various screenings, such as hearing, vision, and BMI. Aunt Lana also dispenses prescription medications to students. She sees about 1,000 students a month in her office. Some students come in needing first aid or for issues such as earache or toothache, while others may have other types of needs such as hunger, anxiety, or clothing. A School Nurse has a heavy workload, but Aunt Lana says when you love what you do, it doesn't feel like a job.
