The world is burning in a conflict of a world war and The Great War of the Century is at a stalemate along the Eastern Front on the continent of Baryule. Both sides desire a decisive action, but one country dares to unleash the unthinkable. In the small country of Rippon, an evil chemist has designed a poisonous gas that may be too dangerous for anyone to control. The threat is too great for the Doeshan Foreign Operatives to ignore.
A mission is in the works to secure a beachhead before a massive seaborne assault. It requires a D.F.O. agent with some extra luck and Prince Thomas Monclary who had recently returned to his country with his wife, Princess Ariel.
Danger also lurks in the shadows of Karzath Castle where there is a plot to end Prince Thomas and Princess Ariel to shift the power of Bellaruzia's future. Jealousy and revenge keep the princess on her toes while she discovers some secrets about herself and magic.
