While trying to create a spatial entanglement, one of MIT senior Jamie Preston's lab experiments detonates. Recognizing the potential of Jamie's research, angel investor Rick Reese offers Jamie a lucrative contract if he can convert his accident into a functional weapon. When they test the prototype in an abandoned mine, Jamie and Rick make a grisly discovery that sets off a chain of events which force them to fight for their lives against a powerful and politically connected child sex trafficking ring, an unscrupulous CIA official, and a corrupt senator desperate to remain in power.
