Publisher's Synopsis
It appears that no one escapes suffering from at least one bout of back pain throughout their life; sciatica, for example, is rife and results in much pain and disability. It often reoccurs often due to the slightest injury; in some cases, no injury can be recalled. Often a 'wait and see' approach is recommended by the GP but this may mean weeks of unbearable pain where the sufferer is unable to turn over in bed or dress themselves. Prescribed or over the counter pain relief is of little help. Then there are bulging and herniated discs, long sounding conditions like ankylosing spondylitis where the 'itis' ending gives us a clue that is occurs as a result of inflammation.
The author, looks at many common causes of back pain, using illustrations to show what is happening and then applies the principles of nutritional medicine to not only treat the pain effectively but to strengthen or change the underlying mechanical problems which are contributing to the condition. As always nutritional medicine is effective, easy to obtain and is unlikely to have result in side effects which require further medication to treat. .
