Clint is in David for supplies. He will spend the night, then return to Quebrada Tula where he and his family are staying.
He is at Peter's Bar when he meets Sam Hires, who says he's made a killer deal for a fishing boat. He gets all the permits and such to do with it. It will run out of Mariato, which Clint knows.
Sam probably didn't mean "killer" deal the way it turned out.
