The records reflect the contacts between the local community and groups of Jewish exiles from France, Germany, Spain and the East, as well as between Jews and non-Jews. The documents are assembled from non-Jewish archives which until now have rarely been utilized for this purpose. The documents are accompanied by English summaries.
