Publisher's Synopsis

Kiss in the Dark is a cocktail of deceit, lies, sex and lack of sex, set on the beachfront of a popular Greek holiday resort. The book follows a group of holidaymakers on a two week package holiday and, like Mark Ellis' earlier novels, sets out to amuse and entertain. The various subplots deal with British and other foreign nationals abroad, and their entanglements with each other and the local culture. The story is seen partly through the eyes of the narrators, and partly through the eyes of one of the group, Julia Moore. Between them they relate details of beginnings and ends of relationships, gross misbehaviour, and even death. At the end, the holidaymakers go home and the book itself can be left on the beach. The locals wait for the next group to appear, and the next chapter to be written.
