Acharya chatursen Shastri was a prominent writer in Hindi literature. He was born on 26 August 1891 in aurangabad chandok, a village in bulandshar district of utter Pradesh, India. His father's name was Pandit kewal Ram Thakur and mother nanhi Devi. Acharya Ji did his primary education in a school in Secunderabad. Then he enrolled in Sanskrit college, Jaipur, Rajasthan from here, he obtained the title of Ayurveda in Sanskrit in the year 1915. His literary production is unique in Hindi literature. He has published 72 books. Devangana is a historical novel. It shows the shortcomings created in Buddhist monasteries that led to the complete elimination of Buddhist religion from India. Through this story, The author has presented the hypocrisy of religion with its unique narrative very intricately.
