Sacred art is meant to open for both artist and viewer a connection between the world we perceive in three dimensions and the world of spirit. It's art as yoga and yoga as art. Yoga literally means to link or yoke one's consciousness with the Supreme consciousness, and bhakti yoga in particular links to the Supreme in a mood of love and service. Some yogis create this link throught their asana practice or by chanting mantras or by meditating; others paint. This book contains the revelations received by thirty-one bhakti artists as they illustrate the Srimad-Bhagavatam and other sacred Indian texts in a mood of meditation. Studying under masters in the sacred bhakti lineage and molding their live accordingly, these artists dedicate their live to depicting the message of transcendence.
