An orphaned boy, pursued by the ruthless tiger Shere Khan, wanders into a wolf den. Mother Wolf is delighted by the fearless child and names him Mowgli, promising that Shere Khan will never hurt him. As Mowgli grows up, he befriends various animals who teach him the ways of the jungle. Shere Khan still hunts Mowgli, though, and convinces many of the animals that a human does not belong in the jungle. When Mowgli grows up, he can no longer be protected by the wolves; he must leave his beloved jungle and begin life in the human world. Will he confront his nemesis Shere Khan at long last?
