Publisher's Synopsis
The rich and fecund activity motivated all the world over by the Ignatian Anniversaries of 1990-1991 brought sharply to the fore a conviction that has been gathering accelerated momentum over the last three decades: the marked relevance of Ignatian Spirituality to the contemporary scene, and the ever more fruitful cross-fertilization between the present-day human sciences and Ignatian Spirituality. As is well known, there is much talk today of the psychology of the Ignatian Exercises. Scholars, in fact, tell us that several of the indications offered by St. Ignatius in the annotations and additions of the Exercises are profound accord with the finding off modern psychology. Only some years ago, a very successful International Symposium on Psychology and the Ignatian Exercises was held in Salamanca in Spain.
