Publisher's Synopsis
In a Philadelphia neighborhood besieged by the opioid crisis, two sisters find themselves at a crossroads. One of them, Kacey, is an addict that lives on the streets. The other one, Mickey, is a cop who patrols those same streets. They do not speak, but Mickey never stops worrying about her sister. One day, Kacey disappears, which marks the beginning of a string of murders. Mickey is obsessed with finding the killer and her sibling before it's too late. The narrative alternates between the present and the sisters' youth and looks at addiction and strength of familial bonds.
