"A long time ago, if you walked up Charing Cross Road from Trafalgar Square, in a matter of minutes you would come across a bookshop on your right hand side with a sign above the window that read: WILLIAM BUGGAGE. RARE BOOKS". Two curious characters work there: the bookseller, William Buggage, and his assistant, Miss Tottle, who do not pay much attention to the sale of books. Rather, they prefer to read the obituaries every day, as well as their favorite work: the Who's Who. First published in 1987, The Bookseller is one of Roald Dahl's great stories.
