In the middle of July, a body is found on the beach of Sandhamn Island off the coast of Stockholm, a very popular summer vacation destination. Could it be a suicide or a drowning? Inspector Thomas Andreasson takes over the investigation. Lawyer Nora Linde, a friend from childhood, will help with the case. At first, they do not get anywhere. Krister Bergmann, the deceased, was a loner with no known enemies. After a second victim is found, the summer threatens to become a total nightmare.
