Publisher's Synopsis

The strength and durability characteristics of Self compacting concrete (SCC) incorporating Rice Husk Ash (RHA) have been computed by replacing 0%, 5%,10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and 30% cement by rice husk ask. The inclusion of rice husk ash as replacement of cement does not affect the strength properties negatively as the strength remains within limits i.e target strength can be achieved up to a replacement of 15% to 25%. The concrete was endowed with comparable mechanical properties and greater resistance to aggressive agents (chemical, physical and environmental).
