Publisher's Synopsis
Meticulous analysis of the origins and the development of political culture in contemporary Mexico. The axis of the study is the accentuated tendency of such policy towards democracy and the consequences that it faced, particularly three factors: the increase in drug trafficking and the aggressive solution strategy that the government undertook under Felipe Caldern, the world level economic crisis initiated in the United States in 2008 and the energetic struggle for the constitution of a true democracy.
