Free and open source development models have made tremendous contributions to computing, research, commercial projects etc. and making it easier for large groups of people, who may not even be acquainted. The present book "Open Source Software for Libraries: A hands-on tool" is an attempt to explain how to install various OSS easily and why the success of Open Source Software is broadly significance.
