Publisher's Synopsis
This card box features a selection of the botanical illustrations contained in the "Hortus Eysettensis", published in 1613 by the German apothecary Basilius Besler. The original book depicted almost 1100 species of plants, a mirror of the garden of the Prince-Bishop Johann Konrad von Gemmingen.
