Publisher's Synopsis
In his works, African artist Georges Adeagbo arranges various objects and texts like books, magazines, brochures, record sleeves or photographs originating from Africa, but also from countries where he has set up installations. He gives his interpretation of processes that lead to the development, replacement and breakup of territories, of political and philosophical systems. This monograph documents 13 of Adeagbo's installations from the 1990s and provides and example of the position of contemporary art in Africa.
