This ground-breaking book extends and critiques Stanislav Grof's work on psycho-spiritual transformation by considering whether adolescents can experience 'spiritual emergency'. Grof contends that the human psyche, stimulated by new material originating from loss experiences will spontaneously reorganise itself.
