Publisher's Synopsis

Originally called, 'The Story of the Three Bears, this charming fairy tale is a a early variation of a 19th century tale. The original tale tells of a badly behaved old woman who enters the forest home of three bears while they are away. She sits in their chairs, eats their porridge and sleeps in one of their beds. When they return and find her, she jumps out the window and is never seen again. Later versions changed the story to a young girl. This is one of the most popular fairy tales in the English language. Recommended by The Gunston Trust for Nonviolence in Children's Literature. Ages Pre-school - 8.
