Publisher's Synopsis
Our planet Earth was bigger, or at least, it seemed to us, because there were no deserts, or large plains or savannas that have sparse vegetation, and only dotted with trees. The whole Earth was green, like a gigantic paradise. I mean, it was full of large leafy trees; and with a great variety of delicious fruits. Those who didn't bear fruits, had some beautiful flowers; They gave good shadows and perfumed the atmosphere. They were always dressed up. They never dropped their leaves; or, rather, they were never seen naked. Among them were distinctions of a social nature. For example: Members of the royal family were made up of kings and queens; princes and princesses; dukes and duchesses; marquis and marquises.
