Publisher's Synopsis
After learning that Sean isn't who he claims to be, Skye is forced to face the cold truth and accept that she has been played for the fool. Hurt and angry, Skye blocks Sean out of her life and decides the best thing for her to do is get through the rest of her pregnancy without catching a charge. Through all the lies, Skye still has love in her heart for Sean, but there is no way she's about to play the fool yet again. Deep down in her heart, she hopes that she and Sean can get through this betrayal, but Skye is doing nothing but playing mind games with herself. Skye knows that Sean will never be the man that she wants him to be, but it's up to her to accept that. She must decide if she is going to love him unconditionally, or will she move on with her life and take this experience as a lesson learned. Sean is still in love with his wife, Leah, and is still in denial about his feelings towards her. He can't seem to wrap his mind around her leaving him for another man because he never saw it coming. At the current moment, Sean knows he has lost Leah temporarily, but he feels eventually that his wife will come back to him, at least that's what he is telling himself. While he waits for his wife to come to her senses and leave her boyfriend in the dusk, he decides the best option for him to do is swallow his pride and beg Skye to come back to him. But Sean will learn that playing with a woman's heart can be dangerous and deadly. Mona and Desmond's relationship starts off as just friends, but as time begins to pass them by, feelings begin forming between the two. When Desmond's longtime girlfriend, Kira, comes home from her basic training earlier than anticipated, Desmond finds himself in a complicated situation. He loves Kira with all his heart, but he can't hide the feelings that he is beginning to have for Mona. Desmond can only play games for so long before he must choose between the woman he loves and the woman who has stolen a piece of his heart. But nothing is always perfect because Mona soon realizes that the fairytale that she so desperately wants will never happen as long as Kira and Quint are in the picture. Will Desmond and Mona conquer the obstacles to be with one another, or will they choose to go their separate ways for good?
