Stacie Maroni is an HR specialist and trauma counselor, but she's never been a suspect in a murder or dealt with police officers. Stacie goes through her husband's effects and discovers she didn't know him very well, other than his passion for technology, his love of dogs, and his stance against domestic violence. Stacie also discovers many possible motives for Ted's murder. Soon it becomes clear someone is after her or something she must have. Unfortunately, neither she nor the police know why. Thankfully, she has good friends and her Maltese, Jasper, as she navigates her rocky new beginnings and tries to avoid being the next victim.
