This book is about two FBI agents who begin the story of investigating the apparent suicidal death of a mayor from another city. There's too much suspicion of the death by suicide which leads them on a journey through other suicides. Intense searching that provides no clues is grueling and their director is about to pull the rug out from under their investigations. They are pressured into finding some hard evidence.
