Publisher's Synopsis
Watching the political circus of the last 12 months, I was left saddened by the abandonment of hope and visionary thinking by both the Conservatives and Labour party about how to build a better Britain post Brexit. The Conservatives have descended into a continual cycle of damage control, while the Labour party has been captured by left wing dinosaurs, who can't even tell us what a Brexit Britain government under Labour would be like.As a 23 year old university educated economist, who is a son of a Danish migrant, I am not the stereotypical Brexit voter and I can truthfully tell you I was divided until a few weeks before polling day over which way I would vote. Brexit could be a disaster, we can really mess it up, if we abandon sensible economic policy and let populism take the reins. However, equally Brexit presents one of the greatest opportunities to rejuvenate and reshape this country for the better. A Brexit Britain can be wealthier, fairer and a force for good in this world. Yet we will not attain these heights unless we fix the problems we face today with good policy. That is why I wrote this book.I want to lay out a vision of how we can build a truly Great Britain with prosperity stretching the length of the country from John O'Groats to Land's End. Building on our university industrial complex and the vibrancy of our legal, financial services and high-tech manufacturing sector, we can reach a level of prosperity far beyond that reached within the EU. Released from single market red tape, there are great opportunities for British entrepreneurs and businesses. This country has lost its hope and optimism, I hope to show you that there are some incredible things that we can achieve in Brexit Britain.
