The most important aspect of these activities is that they help build the hand-and-eye-coordination and muscle skills needed to form letters correctly without causing frustration on the part of the child or the teacher. The book also contains ideas on how to arrange and manage a classroom so that the teaching of handwriting fits within the time allotted for Language Arts, with suggestions for whole group and small group writing activities.
