Publisher's Synopsis

Two former investigator reporters for a major news network gave up their jobs to become sales hostesses for American Home Shopping. Life was good. Katie Morgan, known as only Morgan at AHS, got married to Katie's old boyfriend. Katie Richard did some singing for the local police and fire departments. Katie's brakes on her new car fail, someone tried to run her off the road, and there was rat poison in her orange juice. It was obvious that someone was trying to kill her. All the evidence pointed to Morgan, Katie best friend. Morgan was arrested for the attempted murder of Katie Richard. Katie's Aunt Annie got Morgan released from jail. A former US Marshall form Dallas went to Georgia with the intension of saving Katie's life and keeping Morgan out of jail. Morgan and John Garfield, the former US Marshall, were accused of working together in attempting to kill Katie. Morgan made a sex play for the man who she said was trying to kill Katie. The US Marshall and Morgan got married and divorce all in the same day. Anne, a friend of Morgan, was concerned about Morgan and John getting too close. John and Morgan spent a few hours at a friend's house. Anne did not like that at all, and she let it be known.
