- Bruce O'Connor is on the cusp of realizing his childhood dream - playing professional baseball. But while driving to Florida to report for spring training, Bruce falls asleep at the wheel and wrecks the car of a man-hating witch who has just gone through a really messy divorce. Enraged, the witch curses him to die every day at dawn and come back to life at dusk.
