Between the ages of 9 and 12, you will have to complete Standardised.Assessment.Tests (Sats). To help you practise for these tests, Guinea Pig Education have produced a new series of spelling booklets. The Standards and Testing Agency states that pupils will have about 15 minutes to complete the test, although it is not strictly timed. At the back of this book is a spelling transcript. Read this aloud to your child, leaving about a 12 second gap between each spelling. It is important not to overemphasise the target words when reading out the spellings. Whilst you read, your child must fill in the twenty missing words in the answer booklet.
