Publisher's Synopsis
Since its inception, the traditional Monte Carlo Rally format has changed little: crews set off from iconic European venues in the middle of winter to drive almost non-stop to the tiny principality. After arriving in France, the crews then continue over the snow and ice-bound roads of the Alps, then down into the warmth and sunshine of Monte Carlo. As if this test was not enough, most of it is against the clock. 'Départ d'Ecosse' captures in words and images the excitement, drama and colour of this world famous event from its Scottish grand depart to the conclusion in Monte Carlo itself.
