Born in Margate in 1926, Christopher Alexander drew obsessively from an early age and after the war he won a place at the Royal College of Art. He then taught in the Fine Art, Architecture, and Foundation departments, specialising in figure drawing, initially at Thanet School of Art and later at Canterbury College of Art, while at the same time producing a huge number of drawings and paintings. This book is a collection of Christopher Alexander's superb drawings and oil sketches.
