A gorgeous full-color photographic tribute to over 250 of the monuments, fountains, memorials, and statues in Chicago's parks and cemeteries, as well as those on the city's streets and buildings. While the emphasis is on monuments installed prior to 1930, significant memorials and monuments such as the "I Have a Dream" Martin Luther King, Jr., and the Haymarket Square monuments are also included. Each monument is further defined by the date of installation, location, name of sculptor, and historic context. All author proceeds are donated to The Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Disabled, and Access Living, Chicago-based nonprofit service agencies.
