This study uses data from the "Living in Ireland" surveys carried out by the Economic and Social Research Institute to provide a picture of the distribution of households income in Ireland in the 1990s.;A key finding is that there was a marked shift in the disposable income distribution away from the bottom 30 per cent over the period from 1994 to 1998.;The study aims to give an accurate picture of the distribution of income. It investigates how the distribution of income in Ireland has been changing over time, how it compares with other countries, and what factors contribute to Ireland's particular experience.
